  • COURSE (FULL) | A446 | Tiffany-style stained glass: Animal lamp (March 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2026)

Glasstronomy Studios 2600 John St., Unit 108, Markham, ON, Canada

Inspired by the latest trends in decorative animal lamps, this four-week advanced course focuses on mastering both form and function while creating a Tiffany-style stained glass animal lamp approximately 6-inch x 6-inch x 10-inch. Designed for experienced glass artists seeking a rewarding challenge, this project moves beyond flat construction into fully realized three-dimensional form. Both challenging and delightful, participants will design and construct a custom three-dimensional armature that support curved, organic animal shapes. Emphasis will be placed on structure, balance, and colour selection, ensuring each lamp is both visually engaging and structurally sound. Drawing inspiration from our favourite animal friends — such as owls, foxes, turtles, cats, and other expressive forms — participants will refine advanced copper-foil and soldering techniques while learning how to manage multi-plane construction. These playful yet sophisticated lamps are sure to bring a smile and light up the dark corners of the season. All project materials and hardware are included. No beginners, please. When: Thursdays, March 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2026, from 7 to 10 pm Fee: $325 + HST (includes all project materials and hardware) THIS COURSE IS FULL
