  • WORKSHOP | I471 | Fused and foiled fun: Holiday mantel hook

Glasstronomy Studios 2600 John St., Unit 108, Markham, ON, Canada

Beautiful art glass is a joy to create, but when a treasured piece becomes functional as well as decorative, that’s when the magic really happens! Add another original to the holiday glass collection with a festive workshop that brings together stained glass, kiln-fired colour, and three-dimensional form. Over two afternoons, participants will cut and shape 96 COE compatible glass, then personalize their creations with glass powders, frit, stringers, and the brilliant shimmer of dichroic glass. After kiln firing, participants will return to assemble and finish one of three seasonally inspired, three-dimensional glass sculptures, transforming their work into a unique decorative mantel hook mounted on a weighted metal base. Whether it’s a playful seasonal accent or the next treasured addition to a growing collection of holiday glass art, this workshop celebrates the perfect trifecta: creativity, craftsmanship, and function! All project materials and kiln firings are included. Beginner glass fusers are welcome. Glass cutting and soldering experience required. When: Saturdays, November 28 and December 5, 2026, from 1 to 4 pm Fee: $225 + HST (includes all project materials and kiln firings)
